Erykah Badu spotted leaving a Chinese restaurant with pal JaRon Adkison
Just a day after sharing a glimpse at President Barack Obama‘s 60th birthday bash, singer Erykah Badu was spotted sporting a casual look.
The 50-year-old singer was spotted with her friend, music industry professional JaRon Adkison, leaving a Chinese restaurant in Martha’s Vineyard on Sunday.
The 44th President of the United States also held a birthday luncheon at the Beach Road Restaurant on Sunday, after the bash at his $12 million estate on Saturday.

Badu was spotted exiting the China House restaurant in Martha’s Vineyard wearing a black hoodie with a neon green baseball cap under the hood.
She had her long braids dangling down over the hoodie as she walked out in purple sweat pants with the word Chinatown in gold letters.
She completed her look with a pair of sneakers as she left the restaurant with Adkison.
Adkison donned a hoodie with horizontal black and white stripes, sweatpants with horizontal black and lime green stripes, white trainers and a khaki fisherman’s cap.

Badu made headlines when she took to her Instagram story on Saturday night sharing photos from the bash.
Obama himself was seen behind her dancing the night away at the party, which was held at his $12 million estate on Martha’s Vineyard.
Badu had been performing with members of her band and managed to convince Obama to get on stage as part of the celebration.

While the president’s back was turned, she managed to take a selfie video capturing Obama fully in the frame, which she then posted directly to Instagram.
Badu gave a cheeky smile to the camera as she did so, perhaps knowing that such photography had been banned.
Huge crowds of people could be seen in the background, despite Obama insisting the event had been scaled back because of the spread of the Indian Delta variant of Covid.

The party began around sunset in a giant tent at Obama’s mansion.
But with the coronavirus still a concern, the event drew some raised eyebrows after the host’s claim it had been ‘scaled back’ from a guest list of 500.
‘It’s hypocrisy at its finest and shows they don’t believe what they are saying,’ Republican Party consultant Ryan James Girdusky said to the New York Post.
‘The liberal elites are laughing at us, attempting to sell this as a “scaled-back party,”‘ said GOP chairwoman and upstate New York Rep. Elise Stefanik. ‘Rules for thee and not for me.’
Obama also threw a birthday luncheon for his guests at the Beach House Restaurant in Martha’s Vineyard on Sunday afternoon.
